Honourable Olufemi Onimole, a former member of the
House of Representatives dies at 61.
He died on Saturday evening at a
London hospital at the age of 61 after a long battle with cancer.
Late Onimole was elected to represent Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD). He was re-elected in 2003 for the same office and same platform but defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the floor of the House.
His attempt for a third term in the House of Representatives was scuttled when he lost the 2007 election to the late Morufdeen Adeola Adefolabi.
