Indian police apprehends 26-year-old Nigerian man while peddling drugs

On Friday 18 August, Emmanuel Chinedu A Nigerian national was arrested  in Goa’s Calangute, India while selling narcotics substance.

According to Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi he and a staff was on patrol when they noticed the Nigerian noticed the Nigerian driving a scooter.

Jivba Dalvi alerted the staff along with him and tried to nab the suspect. However, the accused Nigerian tried to escape from the spot but the police managed to apprehend him.

The accused confessed to be selling drugs and was found in possession of 29 grams of Ganja. The scooter bearing number GA 03 Q 6520 was also seized by the police.

Calangute Police also raided his apartment located at Morjim, Pernem and discovered that he has no valid visa. A report is sent to Pernem police station for necessary action under the provisions of Foreigners Act.
Also a report was sent against the owner of Jasmine Beach Resort Morjim for not filling up the C form of the foreign national.
"Any person involved in drugs will not be spared and strict action will be taken for possession of drugs." said Inspector Dalvi
